This concept appeared only at the stage of development of astronautics. It is not typical for previously invented modes of transport. Cars, trains, ships and aircraft arrive at their destination in the same form in which they set off, and not in parts. But when moving at cosmic speeds, everything is different. The falling body is heated to enormous temperatures due to the conversion of enormous kinetic energy into heat.
The device is covered with a thick layer of a special substance, which allows you to maintain an acceptable temperature inside the device — despite the fact that at some stages of descent the temperature directly outside reaches 3−4 thousand degrees. The descent module contains space for three astronauts, life support systems, control systems and a parachute system. Also, in addition to astronauts, it can return 100 kg of cargo to Earth.
Cosmonauts note that flight with a controlled descent is similar to driving on a cobblestone street due to the resulting vibrations and shaking. In the upper layers of the atmosphere there are always air currents up and down, winds blow, and there are separate areas of low or high pressure. At high speeds, these irregularities meet and alternate more often; one might say, they flicker and shake the aircraft with impacts.
